Our path so far

Earlier this year, we announced that Lyra was accepted into Y Combinator’s X25 batch. From the beginning, our conviction has been clear: AI is going to fundamentally reshape the way we work. Humans will spend less time operating in “solo mode” and more time collaborating with intelligent agents.

When we looked at where people spend most of their working hours, we became fixated on meetings. Every day, millions of hours are poured into meetings yet the tools we use for them haven’t meaningfully changed in decades. The pandemic accelerated adoption of platforms like Zoom and Google Meet, but innovation has largely stopped at surface-level AI notetakers. Most of which never make it past the waiting room.

We believed that meetings needed to be reimagined from the ground up. The infrastructure layer, the very foundation of how meetings happen was overdue for reinvention. We believed a small but focused team could build a new system that delivered the reliability of legacy tools while offering something fundamentally better. We believed people would be willing to change their norm if enough value was created. At the end of YC, with just a team of three, we proved it was possible.

Our investors

Today, we’re excited to share that we’ve raised $6.5M in our seed round. The round was led by Y Combinator and 468 Capital, with participation from Pioneer Fund, Transpose Ventures, Rebel Fund, a16z Scout, CRV Scout, and Sequoia Scout, alongside an incredible group of angels and operators including Barb Morgan, Kulveer Taggar, Jake Mintz, Michael Manne, Linda Du, and many more.

The path forward

We’ve shown that a new kind of meeting platform is possible. Now, the real work begins: defining what an AI-native meeting platform should look like.

Our focus ahead is twofold:

1. Refining the core infrastructure. We’re making it easier than ever to join and run meetings on Lyra, removing friction and building world-class integrations starting with calendar connectivity so teams can adopt Lyra regardless of their scheduling workflows.

2. Introducing a new teammate: Lyra. We believe every business will soon have digital workers alongside their human teams. These AI teammates will join meetings, contribute in real time, and be trained on their role within an organization. Meetings
   will no longer just be about humans talking, they’ll become spaces where humans and AI collaborate seamlessly.
